Amazon announced on Monday that it has unveiled a new service for its home streaming devices and platform (Fire TV) that gives Fire TV users and customers access to more than 400 free ad-supported TV channels, including ABC News, Offers CBS Sports, Fox Sports, MLB, Martha Stewart and more. It seems that little by little the companies providing TV channels and audio and video content come to the conclusion that instead of charging subscription fees (which many people don’t want to pay) and preventing the illegal broadcasting of these programs. Through unofficial Internet TV (IPTV), provide a part of their programs and channels for free along with advertisements. Amazon company wrote in its press release: Amazon will add more channels over time to this collection, which is known as Fast.

Customers can find the Fire TV Channels service under “Your Apps and Channels” in the user interface menu of their Fire TV device. They can also ask Alexa to “play TV channels” with a voice command. There is no need to download anything to watch these channels on your Fire TV device. As such moves see an increase in popularity among viewers looking for an alternative to paid channels, Amazon continues to expand its efforts in this area. The Amazon-owned free-to-air streaming service had the most viewership growth in the first half of 2023 compared to rivals such as Pluto TV, Tubi, Roku Channel and Crackle. Amazon recently announced that it will launch hundreds of Amazon Original series along with 23 new channels from the FAST collection from Warner Bros. Discovery and MGM.
